I felt like I had brainfreeze reading that chapter. I thought... they were playing lip service. That they were just putting a cover story for her to stay at his place for some reason, but no, they were all serious. So fucking weird. Even with the awful release schedule I know that there's zero build-up for this.

Gantz is usually notorious for jumping the ship super quick for the start of a relationship but never this clumsily. I'm honestly so disappointed in the author when Gantz is to me a masterpiece.

makes sense to me because these are feudal peasants we are talking about. quick for decisions and with nothing to lose. ancient peoples were transactional like that.
