Current plot:

Guy A: Lemme Marry, Lemme Smash
Girl: I like Guy B, He taller and has sword that goes swoosh!
*Guy A goes on a quest to outsmash Guy B*
*Guy A finds Guy B and challenges him to a Smash contest*
*Girl falls into river, Guy A and B both get overcome with their respecive sense of smashing and throw themselves into the river*
Guy B: I jumped in to smash but I'm drowning, smash her for me! *tosses Girl to Guy A*
Guy A: I jumped in to outsmash her but I'm also drowning so I must preserve the human race *tosses girl to riverbank*

I love Gantz, but this origin story is so bad it's actually hilarious 🤣

Whatever explanation they have in store for how gantz came to be this time cant be any worse than what they had in the original
Or maybe the author learned about some basic writing rules and wont explain shit that doesnt need explaining this time
