i think we can see the aliens such as the Nazis, the Nazis had done many horrible things, such as genocide, holocaust etc,
sure not all Nazi's are bad, just like not all the aliens are bad,
but in order to save humanity, a firm and solid stand must be taken here.
Kurono is like some brainwashed Nazi sympathizer, sympathizing the wrong person at the wrong time
if he did not destroy the tower, would the alien stop invading? stop eating manity? ofc not lol

the same can be said to what happening in Israel slaughtering Palestinians, Chinese slaughtering minor ethnicities and the Rohingya Genocide, sure not all of Israelis, chines and Burmese are evil but a stand must be taken against those crime against humanity,

Humanity is complicit in all those crimes, so what holds them in superiority to a nomad race participating in the same colonialism, that total destruction is the same as xenocide. So if humanity was to take that step then they must bear that consequence the same as the aliens. I think the best part of this arc is showing that cruelty is inherent in all systems of power, you must other something to create an Empire. Human rights must designate something as non-human to have meaning. This is a perfect representation on the latent fascistic tendencies of any advance society that grows from a system of liberalism (as the aliens seem to have). I think Kurono was right, we can not judge until we judge ourselves. We only knew terror upon our scale, and they only knew terror upon their scale. Now that the scales are even, we must not commit more genocide but find a new system in which co-existence and peace is possible. And that's only tenable with a critique of all that exists, from both sides. But don't get me wrong, I'm not a pacifist by any means. If the aliens and the humans that want this change must use power and terror to achieve it then that is necessary but what would xenocide change? Humanity's leaders were blind to the raping and murdering of the initial alien immigrants and mass producing war for profit against the aliens, keeping the players in the dark for their own schemes. Now that they are on the other end of xenophobia and colonialism, their morality is correct? I believe that's just anthropocentrism.

Edit: also they would just reverse -engineer their technology and likely advance to the same level of cruelty as the aliens.

However this is ofc extremely pessimistic fiction, I don't think humanity is inherently evil, I think power is inherently violent. Which is what this does a good job of displaying
