Well the manga isn't marketed as tragedy and it definitely wasn't a downer so far, so I highly doubt Hime will just die, worst case scenario they'll share the body and have mind sex :v

Koruse has done a bunch of doujinshi (as Studio Iwase) and while few of them are actually translated but she's definitely not shy about sad endings. Whether she'll do it in a full on commercial work is another question, but major characters dying/sacrificing themselves is definitely a possibility.
