@Rusty5555 I don't understand what you mean, and the term "telenovelas" isn't used by Americans, they call it Soap Operas, so I guess you speak Spanish or Portuguese. I dropped this manga already, it pretends to be Shield Hero, by checking checkboxes and when it tries to be original, it sucks, I'm sure they are imitating another manga, I'd say Konan if Konan had fantasy elements, but I'm sure who they are copying here probably did a better job as well. And there are far better ones, even if it's hard to find them.

@Ant1989 Tbf not everything like this is a copy of shield hero... It's a cliche development afterall, and this is from LN, so this could also be the adaptation fault, not the author's fault. This story sucks I can agree with that, but your reasoning is not something strong either

@khalidee Tell me one thing that happened until this chapter that is not derivative from those checkboxes. Again, some of those things are cliches, but the combination is unique to Shield Hero. And some of those things aren't cliches, like acquiring a slave girl, including this one, I only saw 3 stories in which such a thing was included, hardly can be called a cliche.

@Ant1989 I agree with your check, but this manga doesn't have a pet (or something like that). the shield hero doesn't fight strong monsters from the start. Shield hero doesn't got motivation to protect others from the start/someone who believe in him (like the girl from the first chapter). The connection between heroes is non existent (in shield hero the legend is being passed on). And maybe other things i forgot, but hey apparently this story is different than shield hero. Maybe it's unique?

Those thing aside the execution is bad. There's so many plot holes. The story moves forward to push the hero, not the other ways around. The characters is bland. Yeah I agree shield hero is better {at least till the last chapter before i dropped shield hero (I think around when shield hero encounter the 2 demons or something) because it gets boring for me}

In addition I don't remember naofumi cure raphtalia (i think my memory is bad), and idk about this slave ever heard of the MC before.

@khalidee Raphtalia was sick when Naofumi bought her. She coughed a lot, and Naofumi cured her using the medicine he made. It wasn't well shown in the anime, and the manga didn't show it very well either, but the LN show that better. And she knew about the Shield Hero, she just didn't know Naofumi was the Shield, but that also apply to the slave here.

Also, by "Two Demons" you mean L'arc and Therese? It gets a little boring in the island, I admit, but did you see their fight? The manga didn't adapt it very well (and the anime ruined it), but it is by far the best battle in Shield hero so far, and I read the LN until volume 14. After that battle, it backs being a little boring for a few chapters, a then the Spirit Tortoise comes, and then is tension all the time.

@Ant1989 Ah I see, it's escape my mind.. Thanks for the remainder. Hmm I personally still thinks that their magnitude of "hero" is different in these two manga.. I mean in this manga the otherworlder is treated more of a "slave" rather than hero..

Yep, that's the one i forgot their name.. I stopped reading when they introduce themselves and there is a third demon iirc. I glimpse sneak peeked about the turtle, but at that point i just not really care about it... Maybe i'll try continue reading that if I feel like it, thanks tho!

You know I kept always hearing how good this series is but so far at best it's been mediocre. This is way too drawn out for a stupid plot.
