Binged the series today and my honest review:

Every single character that has been introduced thus far has been a fantastic breath of fresh air. It's got a good foundation with world building, each character is designed in a good and unique way, the story flows really well and it does a good job at adding just the right amount of interest between chapters.

The only bad thing I'd say (which this could just be because it's teetering on it's serialization): Drama without a solid break. Aside from the chapter where they went on a date, there hasn't been a whole lot of room to find a balance yet. Hopefully this gets a longer serialization, but God damn, our MC is getting hit and spilling some blood almost every chapter.

Solid Manga 9/10 let's see where it rolls.

I have never bought manga before but if this series avoids the axe then I will buy it. I would just hate to buy it and it gets axed especially since it has that axe hanging already. I don't know how close this is to being axed and how long we have.

Why do I feel like his grandmother wears a long, black trenchcoat, is related to birds, and wields a massive swo- nevermind, she's an admin. She's too powerful! Too handsome! Yet strangely beautiful! That smile could kill, but she sure as hell will with that hammer!

Thanks for the translations, and many props to the author for all of the gags, laughs, and wonderful art!

This manga is quite good, I started reading it on a whim and I like it a lot. I enjoy the character dynamic and the art style is great. I hope it doesn't get the axe, but I mean, we all know that quality doesn't determine a series's life

there's no winning because the execution is ass.

i really don't see this series going on for a long time
Although you're probably right, and that sucks. I've been reading manga a long time. Many of the best ones had a bunch of random bullshit for the first volume because they were setting up the pieces on the board. Especially with Shounen manga, they usually start episodic to lay the foundation and serialize the story later on. One Piece did this, Ruri Dragon is doing this, Happy World, Change 123, Kekkaishi, Denpa Kyoshi, even Mob Psycho which has some of the best writing in the trade started episodic and didn't start with the continuous story-line until the Ritsu started doing his psychic thing with Dimple possessing him.

The issue with this series (imo) is the plot and side characters are all so contrived.

The best example is when Tsukimi's sister has an entire monologue in chapter 2 about how wolves will always hurt the people around them and that's why wolves shouldn't be close to people, while actively putting a bunch of uninvolved people in danger. And then next chapter she does a 180 'actually i don't care if people get hurt' once it becomes clear only Mochizuki is in any danger.

This has nothing to do with a series being episodic, it's just bad writing. (and this series has definitely not been episodic, nor did Mob Psycho start episodic)

Parents who abandoned their kids and popping up out of nowhere because "this and that reason" would really fist themselves up in the ass.

She's the main villain. That's the point. She's not right in the head due to her own trauma.
Basic writing done well.

That argument does not really work, because:
1. There is a huge difference between uncotrollable violence against all around (which she fears Kawaru could end up doing), and being able to control the own fighting ability.
2. In the whole chapter she doesn't express any indifference towards hurting him. She hired Nego to restrain him, not to hurt him.
