cute series, sucks that "oh btw I can control my powers now" was the ending we had to go with given the axe, but worth it for the gorgeous kiss shot. This mangaka strikes a perfect balance between detail and simplicity for teeth/fangs and fur. Hope to see them get another shot in the future.

Thanks for the TL!

God, if only I wasn't broke and had my own credit card, I definitely would've tried to support the author however I could.

Bless you Satoshi-sensei, and thank you.

Thanks for the scanlation! Sure this ending might have its faults but it's a lot better than a lot I've seen.

It’s such a shame it got axed. At least the ending was well done despite that. I hope the author gets a better break on there next work. Looking forward to it.

Man, I had high hopes for this story, because the story and the art style would have potential to get traction in the Manga space. But I guess the Japanese tastes are vastly different from ours.

Thank you, TOOR Scans, for bringing a well crafted translation to us international fans, and ありがとうございます to Satoshi-sensei for trying something new!

Enjoyed every second of it. Thanks to tl for bringing this to light and the author who painstakingly tried the genre. I hope satoshi-sensei could bring these type of genre to light in the near future with success. Much love 💕💕💕

I'm going to start off with that the art was amazing and was the main reason I even checked this series out in the first place

From a writing perspective, it played all it's cards too early and didn't really have anywhere to go, so I'm not surprised that it got axed. It was pretty clear that the biting was a fetish thing (Not that I mind), but to set it up, they had to force a problem that became very repetitive after a while, combined with the forced antagonism from the elder sister, I stopped caring about the drama a while ago.

The story also desperately wanted to be a battle manga, but nothing was done with this. As mentioned, the mangaka's art is amazing and they couple have made some sick ass fights if they had gone down that route

For people blaming Japanese audiences or the industry as a whole for this series getting axed. Don't. It was okay at best with really good art. I think part of the problem was that the manga was confused as to what it actually wanted to be. The wholesomeness, melodrama, and horny seemed to be clashing with each other and the potential for intense action being restrained by the desire to keep it "slice of life"

Some recommended reading:
My Monster Secret (or Actually, I am...) Is the same premise of "Girl that needs to hide the fact that someone learned of her monster bits". Main girl is a vampire and main boy has no poker face at all. It's a harem manga where the main theme being "secrets". Has a big focus on comedy and builds on old jokes as the series goes. Had almost 200 chapters at time of completion

Tsukiki Ogami's Not-So-Ordinary Life is about a boy that meets a fluffy wolf girl in a world where people with monster bits are rare, but known about, so no secrets. Very little drama and is more focused on an introvert being caught up in an extrovert's pace. Has over 50 chapters and is still running

I agree, though my take is that I think it should’ve been pointed out by an editor early on that the directionlessness didn’t play to the authors strengths. To a degree I think that does indicate the lack of resources being invested by the industry in new manga.

IMO they’ve already largely met their market with what mainstream is on hand and new authors are left to break into the market largely on their own. I don’t really want to get into Japanese business practices but it does match what I’ve personally experienced in dealing with several Japanese companies. (Muratec, Rorze, THK, SMC, Misumi)

You say this, but the three-thousandth point-for-point copy of I Got Sent To A Videogame World With Cheat Powers And Am Good At Sex is going to get another year worth of chapters despite doing absolutely nothing unique. At some point, the demographic has to be in the crossfire.

That said, I would also recommend Eiji Masuda's work like Monster Secret, but also he's just good in general. Sakura Discord was a lovely short read about facing trauma and reconciling relationships. Tsumiki Ogami is also absolutely top tier for cute monstergirls, though it's been too many chapters since I got a good dose of Hebi and Kito...

People have been slamming this series since chapter 2, but will willingly read 300 chapters of isekai slop every day.

The art was good then and got better, the story isn't the best ever but is worth reading.

This series added at least some variety, I liked it quite a lot. Thanks for the TL and thanks to the author for giving it the best they could given the circumstances.
