Well I find her annoying and it's got nothing to do with her not jumping in a relationship with Haejun.

She's always indecisive, backtracks whenever she says something she actually means, can't stand up for herself, doesn't know how to say no etc
Now shes going to this exhibition with this guy she's not romantically interested in because he already bought the tickets...
That sure isn't gonna give him the wrong idea right???

I know that's never gonna happen but I wish they'd end up together
A guy who won't take "no" for an answer and a girl who can't say "no"
They're a match made in heaven

I don't get everyone's problem with Hyejin.
- sure she doesn't like confrontation, but so what? she knows when she needs to deal with something, and she's not a pushover, either. she does know how to say 'no' and how/when to stand up for herself
- can you guys really blame her for choosing to go the exhibition? she and sunbae are friends, it's natural that she doesn't want to hurt her feelings, and she wouldn't want him to have spent money for no reason (the tickets)
- on the same line of thought, she has already made it clear that she doesn't want to date right now. isn't it the sunbae's fault for not respecting her wishes, at this point?
- "she said she doesnt want to date but she's catching feelings for haekun" i mean, who wouldnt? xD jokes aside, its not like anyone has 100% control over their feelings. And just because she likes someone doesn't mean she wants to date
- people say she's "resetting" or "taking back her words," but 1. wouldnt you be flustered about that kind and be like "oh no i didnt mean to do that" in the moment and 2. she doesnt remember her 'confession', considering she was feverish and half asleep when she said it
- it's understandable that she doesn't want to date. she was traumatized by how it went in middle school, and spent all the years afterwards feeling guilty because she thought haejun didnt know the reason why (in short, she thought she hurt a perfectly sweet, kind boy without even a reason)

honestly, what i really love about this story is how realistic it is in terms of characters and actions. that includes the slow pace, the awkwardness, the "i-refuse-to-say-i-like-him" (cause once you acknowledge it, its so much more real), the "omg i didnt mean to say this!", the feeling uncomfortable and debating if you should confront someone and ultimately needing to do it, etc. it's realistic. it's a slow burn. if you came into this expecting a cute, 5 chapter slice of life then sorry it disappointed but

if you dont like it, stop reading it? you dont need to spoil the fun for other people

i geniunely don't understand why you guys assume that she's going to date sunbae?? it was stated that she intends to clear things up during the exhibition, and she was manipulated into going (either intentionally or unintentionally by sunbae) she already told sunbae she doesnt have any intention of dating, too. she's been pretty freaking clear

you say that she doesnt know what she wants, but she does. wants she wants is to not date. will that goal change as the manhwa progresses? possibly, even probably. but right now, that is what she wants. and even if she has feelings for haejun, that doesnt she mean she's going to act on them or that she wants to date. it's not like you guys have 100% control of your emotions and who you crush on, either. no one does

I’m not sure if I’m misreading some situations but I think the sunbae might just wanna be friends and to friend stuff as he previously said he really didn’t have any real ones and is just trying to be a good friend without realizing any of the social implications

Aww poor sunbae doesn’t even stand a chance but it’s really sweet how he didn’t want to make her uncomfortable again

It’s good that he’s improving but already buying the tickets is still a little forceful, and I hope this doesn’t develop into a real him or him type of thing, I prefer when the secondary Love interest becomes an ally and a friend instead of them going down a worse route

I'm honestly not in either boat right now. Kind of want a third party to swoop in lol...
I understand both guys' perspectives and while I want to respect their (fictional lol I'm to invested rn) feelings, my personal fantasy of a girl just having good guy friends is lingering....
Does anyone know of a story like that where the female lead meets someone new and just becomes friends? (not like a friend from childhood though).
