I'm glad they give a reason for 'Tame' to be considered weak with the fact you need to defeat the monster to use it. In a society that focuses primarily on only training based off the skills received, the average person is not going to go around beating up monsters on their own because they didn't get the combat buff from their innate skill and likely considered training a dead end. And while a noble family considers it bad, the fact its listed in relationship of domestic animals means it still does have a use. So most people who get the skill probably find work on stables or forms.
Still expect this to be mostly paint by the numbers for everything, but I appreciate when widely thought useless skill is secretly OP at least has something going on with it other than everyone is dumb.
