Maturity is the issue though, you're creating an issue out of something that isn't one because obviously you're looking for something to be upset about... It's quite obvious from the fact that instead of just trying to argue you made threads, posts on Reddit and Twitter, you're looking to get outraged, not fix an "issue". That's what I meant with "grow up".
Also, calling people "trolls and biggots" in an attempt to discredit doesn't work when you're not in a circle jerk...

"Genderbender is a very vague tag, which is why it got replaced with more specific ones. There are many niche themes that don't have a tag on Mangadex, not just this.
Mangaupdates handles specific tagging, and has one for precisely this instance.

To use an analogy, this is like going to the "Desktop/Laptop" section of Amazon and replacing it with a "Windows" section and a "macOS" section.

I mean, er... yeah, like 95% of people will be fine with this. It seems pretty reasonable.

But, it's just that this partitioning left out some stuff, and the set theory perfectionist in me is just vaguely unsatisfied with this.

I would prefer keeping "Gender Bender" as a genre, and having "Crossdressing", "Gender Swap", and "Body Swap" as more specific theme tags to supplement the Gender Bender tag.

A more accurate analogy would be a computer store splitting their "Home Electronics" section to "Desktop" and "Laptop", both of which have hundreds of products. Their dozen or so other home electronics products that they happen to sell on the side become uncategorized.

Oh my gosh, this debate is still going?

@gothicshark stop trying, you see the results of the poll already.

"No tag = attack on trans" is truly 100% your opinion alone and for the sake of this utilitarianistic website, one person will not make a difference if the majority denies it.

I also voted yes for the trans tag but only a third of the voters agree with us. Now I stop trying because I know that what I said will not make a difference.

And yes you are using the victim card so stop playing the fool. Pity will not benefit in this case.

I am locking this thread as I believe that the debate will continue to devolve until we see some 5.1 violations. Several posters are toeing the line already.

Once again, we will not be bringing back the gender bender tag for reasons that @Teasday and @Plykiya have already outlined.
