I might be mistaking it with a different isekai, but iirc, “scientific” weapons like bullets and explosives exist here, but aren’t popular because most skilled fighters or strong wildlife (monsters) possess magic that passively protects the user from non-magic sources.

Fantasy worlds often don't follow the rules of physics as we all know. But for the sake of arguement and fun a grenade sends out a shockwave of around 30 psi at 8-10 meters (not really but it's an easy number to work with) for every square inch of your body imagine there is a square rod with the surface area of 1 square inch that weighs 30 lbs. Incase you don't like imagining that here's some numbers. Your typical dude is around 1.7 meters squared but let's go with 2.5 because hes a big man that is 3875 inches squared. That would be 116 250 lbs of total weight being smashed into his body at the speed of sound also not really how it works but it's good enough to get the point across. That might sound like an obscene amount of force and that is because it is. So uh ya safe to say his arm should be at least bleeding. Infact our hero here should probably be knocked on his ass or critically injured from the blast seeing as how multiple bombs were detonated and he wasn't far away or protected in any meaningful way. Probably did it wrong or got some bad numbers but the real figure is probably much MUCH larger then even the one I got if you can believe it.
