IMO if the previous group hasn't posted for over three months while there are raws... It ain't sniping. The 'sniping is bad' thing comes in when some assholes (usually for profit) come in out of nowhere while a decent group is already regularly doing updates. That's not the case here and obviously (from the next chapter comments) people are happy to see updates again.
