It's just 'e'. I tried looking it up to see if it was some regional difference or something, but I can't find anything hinting that it would have an accent.
It's from Latin anyway apparently.

We know! I thought it was something cute to add since I'm not sure if American English uses accents that often, but I added it as a way to try and compensate for English's lack of inability to keep up with her writing style! Examples of such are using しゅきー for 好き, and just the general Mizutani words her sentences. So, instead of it being said as "paw-see" I just thought it'd be more quirky as to pronounce it "paw-say"! I'm glad that you noticed!
