I've gotta say, this artist does quite a lot of work with setting up camera shots from interesting exaggerated perspectives, unusual lighting choices, etc. in the first few pages, despite the cartoonish style everything is drawn in; I got a lot of sense of place and atmosphere, where normally it'd just feel like talking heads.

And it just gets better along those lines from there.

Something about this manga makes it feel so magical. Maybe it's the way the scenes are drawn with such a vivid sense of the world around the characters, or maybe it's the way the characters make me yearn for something that I had but lost and can't yet grasp anymore. Either way, this manga makes me feel a special way and I like that a lot.

@batsling Hi! Technically, there is a chapter 8, although it's only separated in the book. The chapter itself is I believe 8 pages in the book version and 7 pages in the magazine version (the only difference being a repetition of the first line of the book, おはよう/Good morning). I was deciding whether or not to include it separate, but I feel like it'd be very upsetting to some people if the last chapter was about some girl they've never even seen without any clear story. In my belief, (and contrary to the person on Twitter) I think the girl with pigtails is supposed to shadow Mizutani's sister, Kashiko. I hope I didn't ruin any discussion, but even I myself am unsure lol. That one page difference might be due to the singular extra page, although the last few pages are chapter 8. I feel like you might understand why I was a little conflicted on making it its own chapter!
