Wow, it was good, this and the sequel, the whole series. Only problem is that it’s too short for me to take an interest in the characters - there’s absolutely no character development, no build-up for them either, complete lack of empathy for the deceased side characters from the main cast, etc. But besides that, I really loved the series, the story is breathtaking and puts you on-edge, there’s satisfying pay-off for each arcs, the comedy and chemistry between the main cast is surprisingly refreshing and natural, Mai is adorable and both endings were really good. Again, the series’s short, so both mangas ended with more to be desired, but it’s still a good read and a deserved 8.

For the most part, I watched the anime, curiosity drove me towards finishing the manga and... Well, it made me cry. The ending is pretty heart-breaking, but overall it's a good story about a team of paranormal researchers/exorcists.

This one is really really good, a different approach to spiritual things, a more scientific way. Quite sad the anime never made it to the end of the manga.

Damn, I miss them so much. I didn't really like Mai because she kept doubting her abilities even though they were very useful. But I love the SPR's family-like relationship. I read it somewhere but apparently, the author wanted Mai and Naru to be canon, that they were going to be canon. There is a sequel called "Akumu no Sumu Ie" but I wish it was longer. I loved both the anime and the manga. The ending tho :((

So many mysteries... And yet, the greatest one of them remains unexplained...
What the hell does Mai see in Naru and why didn't she walk out on him, slamming the door behind her, by volume 4 at the latest.

I've read this manga long ago, watched parts of the anime, and I remember loving it so much. Even now, many years later, it's still in my heart. Though what I remembered now before re-read was only
the Naru in Mai's dream is Eugene, Naru's brother.

Anyway, in recent years, I've been wanting to revisit it and finally went ahead with it. I binge-read it in a few days and finished the sequel (which I'm pretty sure I hadn't read before) in one day.

It's an amazing series, a different approach to the supernatural you'd see in fictional works (though you can say it's closer to what you'd see in TV). The horror is top-notch, each arcs are uniquely terrifying and put you on edge. The core mystery of Naru is amazingly well-done. While the main characters might not have any big character development, I love them. They're all charming, especially their interactions and dynamic. I really love their familial bond. My love to this series is renewed.

Now that I've consumed everything, I feel empty. It feels so long yet so short at the same time. I need more...!! Maybe I'll try to get the novels somehow. I really wish it's longer.
