I was trying to find something within this 10 chapter only to realise it was a dude which i really expected unless the guy actually a girl or some shenanigans behind the plot.

Well, 17 chapters in there have been a bunch of things that look like plot developments, but no information whatsoever about how they fit together, who (and in many cases what) any of the players are, or what any of their motivations might be. I have no fucking clue what's going on, don't even know if the author knows.
