You know, I don't really see admiration when I hear people talk about football at all. Maybe in Europe we don't "admire" players in that sense, admiration is for the virtuous and here everybody knows the big players make big money and they don't usually use it for good, not mentioning the taxes they avoid.

They might be too much into the game to see that, I am almost convinced there is something to admire about elite sports people. Olympians are hyped in that way, but they probably aren't that popular.

Why I am talking about this again? Because sports don't mean anything to me, this stops feeling real the moment I think about the little I see about it in my environment... Wait, that's precisely why they are special, and why it is plausible for such people to rise like that.
