and this translation is on the other end of the "bad tl" spectrum. some weird mistranslations and extremely dry/stilted phrasing (especially important for a comedy manga—economy of words!!)
assuming you're not just punching up a machine tl (in which case may god have mercy on your soul), you should practice composing english text from scratch that expresses what the source expresses. a lot of awkward tls happen when people who might even know a fair bit of japanese do their work by "translating"/understanding the english equivalent of all the constituent parts of a single sentence and then, like, stuffing all those converted pieces into a mold shaped by english grammar. doesn't produce great results even when executed with no "errors" cuz the output isn't really english as written by someone fluent in the language—it's a bunch of fragments glued together to look like english. at any rate, this is far less of a bad thing than the totally douchey, obnoxious and entitled other tl so keep up the good work
