Fantastic chapter. Although it doesn’t have any meat to it. It’s a very good exposition.

As expected we don’t get to see the torture. But the setup for the next arc is good. There’re plenty of opportunities for light to be mad.

@Notadmeraldondo I doubt it goes that route, seeing as it's been confirmed that she's working as a maid.
My two fears are either they go down the amnesia route or she hates what Light has become and refuses to go with him route.
I'll much rather have the she's happy but refuses to go because she created a bond with the Princess route. Something tells me though that either his sister or brother will end up being this "Master".

Yeah, that seems to be the vibe that I'm getting as well. I hope I'm wrong and the princess is just wholeheartedly trying to help. But, based on past precedence, there don't seem to be many well-meaning characters apart from the main gang.

seeing how the storyline is going in this manga, i suspect this "human kingdom" is controlled by another race in the background or they really are rotten like other races kingdom, but i hope there'll be real allies for light besides the people he summon with his gacha

I'm also assuming one or both his siblings are the "Master" also I predict the human kingdom is also a bad guy. Antime I see these "altrusitic" characters to be met in manga they always end up being evil.

I have read a lot of manga and the saints who aren't the mc or the mc's friend are very suspicious sometimes

Considering the types of stories the japs like to write about aristrocacy, gods, saints and whatnot you can bet that the princess is evil in some shape or form, the human kingdom (nobles) are evil in some shape or form and that the sister is the "master" or will turn into that or will be killed to serve the plot.

They like to repeat the same tropes over and over again and I highly doubt this author will try anything new.

Considering all the other races opinion of humanity, no way a human kingdom was just allowed to pop up. I'll bet some dark deal was made by the new royal family with the other races that supplies fresh human slaves or such. Cause there are no good guys in this story.

ya that's my first thought, everyone's been a scumbag so i wouldn't be surprised if the princess was secretly engaged in a slave trade using her philanthropy as a cover. It'd also probably break light and lose any restraint he had since even the higher-ups of the humans whose the only race he's been protecting so far are just as evil.
