I hate when manga have overpowered protagonists, only to suddenly make them not overpowered because the plot needs to happen.
Why isn't he able to just scan the swamp, snap his fingers, and teleport the pendent back?
Is he just lying and WANTS that team to embarrass themselves by failing to beat the boss, so then he can move in to rescue them and show them up?
