That's probably an imperial Japanese propaganda...... The thing is katanas have a shit defense, and Japanese don't have a lot of metal to work with... that's why samurai began their fight when they're unsheathed their sword..... their sword will definitely break if fighting for long

oh and it's a katana because creativity is fucking dead. This series is fairly decent but god is the author a dipshit. Make it something unique. Give him a weapon that's fitting for werewolves. Like a roman pugio (wolves and Rome) or a Katar (claw adjacent) would be cool. Not another stupid katana. Thank you "Wrong way to use healing magic" for giving your MC an interesting weapon

Pretty sure author was trying to sneak a wolf Kemonomimi race under the guise of "Werewolf" lol. It is clear from the clothes and houses that they are this setting's fantasy Japan.
