Its kinda whiplashing me how we get so many chapters of a manga that was semi-dead for so long I barely remember what it was about. And when I do remember - this new ark seems a bit "excessive" if you will compared to earlier story, especially with how little time on screen MC has.

Stop everything you're doing, to use talk-no-jutsu, explaining away all the secrets of your army, to the enemy.
This is just bad writing. Authors forgetting they're writing about 3d events, not putting words on a page.

Take a stopwatch, and try seeing how long it would take to say the lines on the page.
It bends beyond suspension of disbelief, and veers into alternate "I saw another author do this" degeneracy.

Like taking a meme literally. But worse.
