As a follow up to my last end page main topic, I'll share my thoughts on a combo that according to my views, is pointless. But it's pretty fun if you ask me. I'll occasionally feel the need to drive my headphones with one of my (the only fully functional) power amps, so I break out my 4 pin XLR that I have just for this reason, and use the headphones directly off the output terminals. Is there a difference in sound quality. Well, there is, but that's all due to me listening louder then when I use the SMSL. (The SMSL can go just as loud, so it's all preference). Here's a picture of the setup:

(I broke out my fancy RCA cables (the Monster ones I mentioned before) so I could at least use them once, and made sure to get the direction of the RCA cables right, because copper wire is totally able to be made directional. And if you're wondering why the cable is taped to my desk, it's because the two connectors don't quite fit right, so the pins are loose. The only way to prevent the channels from dropping out is to bend it slightly so all the pins make good contact. Also, the cardboard is very important. Make sure your gear has ventilation!). And there I went off topic again. Sorry about that. See you!
