nuhuh (tho I'm not sure), ig it was break due to the release of next volume (yk vol 5 ended with 29.2). In the past, there were inconsistencies but some time after release of first few chapters of vol 5, their schedule became more consistent. Regarding this break ig it was a given since in the past they have also taken time when releasing new volume (nobody noticed it at the time cuz nobody was working on this series)

lol after your comment, I searched up a little it had something to do with "Yaoi" (Gay love)
since earlier yaoi was a slang for fanfiction without any plot, climax, meaning but only gay stuff
the connection between 801 and yaoi is something like this:

"801" is read in Japanese as "ya-o-ichi" (やおい) where "ichi" is reduced to "i":

• 8 = や (ya)
• 0 = お (o)

Ah yes the return of the "why is everyone acting like this a big deal?" manga

The way everyone is so hung-up about 2 teenagers that met in high school dating is so weird to me, imagine if they were already dating and then their parents meet would they be forced to breakup? I would get it if it was one of those "they aren't blood related wink wink nudge nudge" series but they fully behave and treat each other like they aren't related in any way. Also her best friend and his senpai both seem to ship them, it's just such a weird thing for them to obsess over.

Thank KFC for the chicken part, when they debuted in Japan it was right before Christmas. They went into a giant marketing blitz to try and create an association between a bucket of chicken and the holidays (remember U.S.-based fast food chains tend to step up the quality in other countries since they can't win in a race to the bottom like they're used to back home). A good example is the Yahari anime when Hachiman talks about getting a bucket of KFC as part of their holiday dinner. The sex between lovers is I think because that Christmas-New Years period is the only socially acceptable time when Japan encourages couples not only to be socially affectionate but to get frisky behind closed doors as well.
