It's all about knowing who you're getting the gift for and why. Yuta has been shown consistently to be a very serious and pragmatic person, so a pragmatic gift works well. Well, both of the kids are very pragmatic and serious due to their respective family situations. It's only after they met each other that they're slowly learning to open up and enjoy the smaller things in life, but they haven't been in that mindset long enough for their parents to take notice and get them more "fun" gifts.I don't mean to sound ungrateful but if my parents got me a study guide for my 17th birthday then I might have actually crashed out. Ok no I wouldn't have, it would just be another data point on the list of things I have to be resentful to them about but I would have kept it internal.
I don't know my guy, they look like they don't like it and is just being polite about it to me. Also the fact that they just let their kids develop unhealthy coping mechanisms as a result of their own divorces also doesn't seem like great parenting either. Even the most studious kids I knew that got full marks on everything wouldn't appreciate it. I could understand if they were poor then for sure I'm sure it would in fact be the best gift they could probably give however that isn't the case. It's all about knowing who you're getting the gift for and why. Maybe for you it's a no ...but for myself I will absolutely take it ...I don't mean to sound ungrateful but if my parents got me a study guide for my 17th birthday then I might have actually crashed out. Yes, both parents realize they haven't been the greatest parents and their kids suffered for it; it was expressed quite literally the previous chapter part (and implied from the beginning) that the parents hope the marriage would help fix things. As for whether or not any kid would appreciate a study guide as a gift- your limited sample size + entirely different culture does not give you the ability to make absolute statements like that.I don't know my guy, they look like they don't like it and is just being polite about it to me. They look like they didn't like it ...yuuta just shocked since akahon normally student themselves will purchase it ...not getting thru gift ...also he and saki never see that book since quite early for them to purchase it , this kind of book normally use for mid/final preparation of the examI don't know my guy, they look like they don't like it and is just being polite about it to me. Did you stop reading the chapter installment after the fourth page? Because each parent gave their children their "actual" gifts in private later that night.I don't mean to sound ungrateful but if my parents got me a study guide for my 17th birthday then I might have actually crashed out. Absolutely wholesome, the parents know their child very well. I guess they don’t have to worry about eventually telling them about their relationship, it’s 100% sure that they’re getting an okay from their parents. The sole matter is their feelings in the end
Thanks for the translation

Good enough, they let them do their own thing until it comes to more serious thing
saki try to announce at her parents but her mom stop her ...hinting she knows but want see both really serious on their relationship first
Cuz they know the kids are pretty much sure about what they’re gonna do next. Mc will be busy with his studying, foc too but will also be searching for a new place to live. So early presents don’t sound that weird.![]()
Did you not read the letter? They said they're giving them their 18th birthday present early. Maybe it just didn't translate well but the implication is that they won't be celebrating their birthday next year.
I don't need an explanation my guy, he said "they gave them their real presents" and I was saying no they didn'tGood enough, they let them do their own thing until it comes to more serious thing

The divorces did damage to the kids and they’re aware of it, it’s too late to go back now. And since they’re pretty level headed and serious, they let them do their own thing. Not the best parenting ever, but far from the worst
