After her "explanation" I still have no idea why she wants to be independent so badly. I think I gave this more chnaces than it deserved...

Okay, the dialogue was clunky and she's written as a character to basically be a walking, talking innuendo machine... But was she actually offering to let him fuck her for money? If so, that's outta left field, I tell ya.

This chapter confused me the most. If she really meant it with what she said, that's a wack twist. If not, that was not even a good innuendo. After all the distance these two cleared, this incident was so uncalled for

Honestly with their personalities in the anime this scene actually makes sense.
They seem a lot more broken and depressed in the anime. Which would make sense leading to this situation somewhat. But with how the manga has portrayed them she seemed cheerful enough to not do this.

There is a lot going on with her outward persona and how she feels about herself inside.

I'm disappointed. I genuinely expected that she was testing him, due to some trauma she had in the past with men, and now wanted to see if she can trust the step-brother. Alas, she's just so desperate for money she's ready to (literally) suck her step-brother dry, because obviously that would avoid getting into trouble out there with strangers. I'd be more willing to accept her desperation if she actually was in a desperate situation. But from what I can see, she just considers her mother, a financially and otherwise independent woman, her idol and she wants to be the same already in high school. Yet she hasn't got a clue about anything. Anything at all. She's all phoney.
