This is so so so cute and gentle. Such a peaceful daily life. The characters are very lovely. I’m looking forward to the next chapter.
I’m so lucky to have found this beautiful little story.

I know it’s a super late reply and perhaps nobody will read this. So the Indonesian scans have completed the story and I can read a little Indonesian.

To answer the question why Mum/Rio wears the bird costume, it’s because of his insecurity regarding being a man and being unable to have a family naturally. I don’t think that Jun’s parents have revealed that they are a gay couple to Jun’s friends’ families’ and they use the excuse that Jun’s mum is allergic to the sun and that’s the reason why he wears the bird costume.

As a child, Rio was put into foster care when his parents disappeared and his older sister decided to go her own way. I think that that trauma coupled with his insecurity about his sexuality lead him to decide to hide himself away from the world. It seems that meeting Dad/Yoki helped him a fair bit to accept himself and his past.

Also, Jun’s birth mum is Rio’s older sister who happened to be a senior of Yoki’s in university and was his ex. I think that Jun is a result of that relationship. Rio’s sister seems to be a free spirit who wanted to explore the world and not get tied down by family, so my guess is that Yoki and Rio decided to raise Jun by themselves, fell in love in the process and became a family unit.

Jun is not aware of that fact and that Mum is actually a man. Rio does say at the end of the manga that he would tell Jun everything when the time is right but seeing as how Jun is only six going on seven, it just isn’t the right time to explain everything to him yet.

it's rather wholesome~ it's a bit confusing at some parts, I'm not sure if it's the dialogue or pacing but that didn't hinder me from eating this thing up whole xDD I like how it portrays Jun's childishness and innocence, he's so wacky hahaha such a cute kid~ I do like that one panel that squiggles when the child cries and when Rio was hiding in a blanket and the tips were fading into shapes of butterflies, and also that illustration of the ocean with little Rio and Yoki was cute too. Overall, I feel like this story is rather poetic in sense, for me at least.

I saw BL and the mention of 6 years old and thought "Oh, God", before I saw the two dads mentioned.

Am I the only one who thinks they would be fucking traumatized if I grew up like I don't know let's say 11 years with my mom in a fucking bird outfit and then one day they were like that's not your mom your mom is this other person who ran away to travel the world instead of taking care of you and also the person you thought was your mom isn't allergic to the sun they've been wearing this costume literally just because they don't want you to know that it's a guy you actually had no interaction or very little interaction with your mom your entire life it feels like it would put this weird taste about gay family's gay couples and the entire situation into the kids mouth way more than if they were just clear with the kids to begin with I mean you're setting the kid up to be confused as shit
