Huh. I peeked in on this after giving up before volume 1 was finished, because it was CRAZY TERRIFYING.

Now it’s exactly what I’d hoped it would become in chapter two.

@yari-kachi naw, LGBT folks frequently find each other even before they know they’re LGBT. I found out one of my good friends was transgender when I came out to her myself!

@yari-kachi LGBTQ+ people are congregate like penguins to brace themselves against a cold world

@mikl Ah yes, the moment where the trans person goes "wait, that's a thing?"

I gotta say I did not see this coming. Trans men rarely get represented in media so any addition to that is welcome. And he's also chill about it too. Very sway.

@NinjaGoemon I mean, it's been pretty clear from the beginning that the main character had something gender-related going on with them. But apparently Gin hadn't realised it before now. Eggshells can be mighty thick sometimes (like the people stuck inside them), I know this from personal experience.

@mikl yeah. One of the early parts of this was "all these characters are some combination of LGBT, can you figure out which?" So I guess the next couple chapters along with ms short hair trying one more time is Gin finally putting some thoughts into this subject.

I've noticed a lot of LGBTQ+ people tend to gather together, even before they know they are LGBTQ+. I'm trans. Two friends of mine in community college were trans. One was genderfluid. One was a lesbian. Two were bi. And that was all without knowing about eachother first. Some of us weren't even out yet.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to congregate with like minded people without even knowing.

>I'm a crossdressing boy!!!

>You're a trans girl aren't you?

Didn't he just say he was blackmailed into it? And yet this bitch has the audacity to say "oh you're just figuring yourself out!"

Nah.

I'm not sure how this'll go. I'm betting he ends up being trans in the end unfortunately. Because all crossdressers are eggs right?

it would be real funny if he said nope. Also cool representation of ftm. That's not something you see everyday.

mfw people are getting mad because this story is showing trans representation and a narrative of a person finding themselves at a crossroad, i know its been the hip thing lately for manga but compared to all the stuff that's come before we need to realize some of the trap mangas have played countless times. I'm really happy this mangaka chose to not play the trap card and had the mc reveal themselves its pretty refreshing. Regardless of if the Mc chooses to just cross dress or to stop or transition I really appreciate his depiction of lgbt people even with some of the flaws he gives them.

Although I like the fact that Gin had the resolve to tell off Asa and tell Sumon the truth, I feel like this story is unfolding in a really unnatural way. I don't really feel like Gin had much of an obligation to tell Sumon about the crossdressing since he doesn't know him that well, I would have thought that he would tell his high school friend if anything. I think taking off his wig in the cafe was a weird choice, inconsistent with his character, since Gin had been so scared of anyone finding out not too long ago. I guess the story could've used a few chapters developing the relationships before getting here.
