In an era where almost all long-running shonen have had terrible endings with even worse final arcs, Gintama ends with not only one of the series', but one of the genres, best arcs; culminating with a masterclass of final chapters.
Teared up so much and even cried a few times reading those last dozen chapters.
This series ending hits me me like when a celebrity you've followed since childhood suddenly passes away. But I will not be sad that it's over, rather glad it even happened.
I'd like to end this comment listing out thank yous like award-winners do at awards shows for my experience of this series -- from thanking its creator to its fans, and everyone/everything in-between. But I won't, instead, just simply say that I'm absolutely grateful I even had this experience.
