LMAO Hatono's dream. Don't lose to a cicada! And RIP Maika again, she really only wanted just one thing.

Attention!

Girl Meets Rock! is now back on MangaPlus.

All lyrics on the official translation are censored.
Yeah I won't pay one cent for that sort of shit. I guess it's over for me, it was one of the last manga I was waiting for a chapter each week.

Oh, well that was to be expected. But I'm sure they give at least enough of a shit to not just black out-

Lame.

One must wonder how Japanese music rightsholders would be upset at their songs getting more international recognition. It's not like a bunch of text in a manga is the equivalent of a pirated mp3.

I suppose there is the idea that if the content of the song (lyrics) contributes to the creative output and therefore the (financial) success of the work, then those rightholders should be compensated, but it's still awfully shortsighted and greedy* to me.

the lyric censorship is so lame... can't they try replacing the words instead?

The entire concept of a translation of a song lyrics is subject to a copyright only in a foreign country is still inconceivable for me.
It's just plain stupid.
