@CyanHide@CyanHide This was never the real intent, but he saw the shippers react, so he couldn't help but tease them there. Unsurprisingly, some shipper-obsessed resources immediately took this as canon hint, lol.
@adevaleev Such anthologies are never canon, I don't understand why people are looking for some plot hints here. No, I certainly understand, but this is silly.
@CyanHide You are a lucky person lol. Well, as far as I can see, the canonicity of any things often depends not on their essence, but on the size of the fan's love for the ship, lol.
@edatorbit "pretty obvious" is one of the most speculative and dirty tricks you can think of in a discussion. The author was quite openly surprised that people ship them, so he described this chapter as a gift to readers. Here's a perfect example of why an "obviously" pointless and subjective argument.
@SuperOniichan Do you have a source on that? Because otherwise, what you're saying, at this moment, is even more dubious considering edatorbit already asked for a source and you dodged it with a reflection on the "pretty obvious" argument - that has to do with feelings/instinct anyway - without providing any source, except your word for it.
Just let people have their fun, and in a way, stories are up for interpretation, plus what they say is not wrong : they do like each other
@Klice This is at least more specific than saying "it's obvious" without any arguments and expecting your opponent to make excuses to you. Check his Twitter shortly before this anthology comes out. I'm not so passionate about this series as to save every interesting tweet about it. You can also ask @Raknasuu about this.
Lol, I wasn't the one who started demanding proofs and arguing about something.
Only to prove myself useless anyway, because even tho I do remember reading those kinda tweets where author is like "You know what? I bless those that ship them(As I am a yuri fan myself), go ahead and make doujinshis you bastards" tkmiz has erased almost all his activity from before 2018 so there's not concrete proof now nor did I foresee he would. If he erased them maybe there was a reason? Or am I having a mandela effect?
Anyway. Then the guy went and did a really smutty One-shot for his next serialization. Serialization that has Yuuri and Chito as occasional characters and it's more open about being a yuri.
The actual plot has yet to unfold to the part of the One-shot (It will get there, as it is a certain character's fundamental motivation), and we don't understand much yet about the universe itself. So, honestly I'm more preoccupied about that than confirming the ChitoXYuuri thing
now that they are working adults that's crazy.
If you aren't reading it yet, I suggest you hop in. It's quite the ride.
Though if anyone wants more fanservice his Twitter is still full of shipping fuel for both his series.
I don't follow Tkmiz's twitter, so I'm just adding up my own thoughts. During the whole GLT manga there are just a few situations where you could imply some romantic/sexual feelings between them, but honestly I don't think they fully understand what it is as (it is implied) they have been traveling together for so long, so they have grown to need each other to survive.
So I would say it's a pretty platonic relationship, they do care and love each other (and is one of the reasons that made me love this series so much), but I don't think they see it as something romantic/sexual.
But also, as in Shimeji Simulation, they seem to be living normal lives (like they say in this chapter, a parallel universe), maybe Tkmiz is gonna show them as an actual couple
And it's a series about two girls, of course you are gonna get people shipping them lol
