I think crowdsourcing will make tags more relevant. Maybe something like how Mangaupdate does it, to mitigate vandalism.

Also make tags visible on manga info.
Also need more tags for our fetishes!

Don't, you end up having Steam tag system which is a mess because people want to be memesters.

To expand a bit, we want the tags to be focused and decently searchable, and adding a complicated crowd-based system would require both oversight and implementing a bunch of additional features, neither of which we're particularly interested in dealing with when it comes to this subject.
