Give side menu the same hotkeys as reader when focused on

It would be nice if, after clicking on the side menu, the same hotkeys for the reader could be used when the side menu is active. For example, I'd like to be able to press 2 and scroll down instead of clicking somewhere on the reader to regain hotkey functionality.

PS: a hotkey for going to the comments for chapters would be great.
