I feel like the twist wasn't supposed to make us feel sad because he died but make their deaths feel much more real in the grand scheme of things.

Like that these are real people with real emotions and lives, and he just killed them. damn.

That plot device used. Made the world feel a lot more realistic than plastic. The fact that if you kill that many faceless people there is a possibility it would be someone you know that you killed. In a world like that. I can feel for the MC. I can only imagine losing a friend I've spent so much time with. And not only losing them but having been the one that killed them. That's just scary in its own way.

Burning the bridge before it being made, it's the tsundare thing...

The loss of Abukawa had a meaning, he protected Shuichi from being bullied and was close classmate to him, noticing him not wearing glasses back then.
Shuichi will unfortunately loose more people he knows, this will make a bad impact on his character...

Dunno what was Abukawa wish, nor why he got involved with Madoka group, but judging by how they gathered their members, he wasn't doing it willingly.
It's a shame he died in agonizing death, it's all Madoka fault.

Ikeuchi probably gonna switch sides, but until Sayaka contract is in effect, he won't came out alive from that. Should have confessed to Chihiro when he had a chance...
