Wait they just killed the premise. Why would she be stronger than a hero of the same level? That just means she's supernaturally strong with no explanation at all. They already established reaching that level is basically impossible and even the demon king is below it. It wasn't dumb luck or hardwork, the goblin should have been overpowered just after a couple levels if her stat scaling or distribution is so great.

Yes, either the stats scaling capabilities is random, or adventures don't necessarily gain experience when leveling up (though, goblin wouldn't be so OP in the latter case. after all, she gained no experience till after lvl99).
She probably was OP by lvl 20 or so. Lets just take a wild guess and say that her lvl 60-70 = that other girls lvl99 (without the divine blessing/ kill instinct active).
Let's also assume that granite chan at her current lvl is 100x more powerful than the lvl 90 goblin snowcone machine.
....Wait... What type of monster is granite going to be at lvl99....? God we are lucky she's a suicide bomber. I don't think the world could survive that....
Bet next chapter, granite will angrily TP back and attempt to blow up the ocean (and sink the ship in the process).

@Ironclad This chapter has stated that there is a difference of talent between two individuals at the same level.
They don't gain the same amount of stats, which mean that someone that has a low level, but a high talent, might be stronger than someone with a high level, but a low talent.
Basically, being lv99 just means that you cannot improve anymore.
So if you're still weak at that point, then you're just a worthless individual.
Wasabi probably has an incredibly high talent.
Or it's just that, since goblins are supposed to die at low level, they gain a biig amount of stats at each level up as a reward.
They don't gain the same amount of stats, which mean that someone that has a low level, but a high talent, might be stronger than someone with a high level, but a low talent.
Basically, being lv99 just means that you cannot improve anymore.

This chapter managed to piss me off.
It showcases how awfully lazy the writing is. Goblin curb-stomps opponents of her same level and and when the reader asks "how?" the answer is: "because, shut up!"
Even the author seemed to realize this wouldn't fly though. So he throws in an info dump that's both nonsensical and pointless, and that pretty much boils down to: "goblin wins because I say so." This is Mary Sue characterization at its very worst.
The thing is, this could have been easily avoided. The world basically runs on Dragon Quest rules, right? And you want your main character to curb-stomp absolutely everyone and everything (which is a bad idea, but I diggress) Well instead of level 99, make goblin level 888. Just say that goblin is exploiting a glitch in her code and that she has no real upper level.
Would that have been cheap? Absolutely, but not as cheap as the author's poorly written explanation or his mom.
