In King Kong vs Godzilla, the JSDF used an electric current in high-tension wires to keep Godzilla away from Tokyo. And of course King Kong was able to beat Godzilla in the climax once he started absorbing lightning.

Ah but that contradicts what Miyu was saying in the first chapter about his creation from nuclear testing.... Guess Godzilla just found himself frozen in a glacier up there somehow.
