At least not at this point of the story.

Their relationship at the moment is more like mother and daughter almost, with how child-like Shinigami behaves.

i really dig this kind of Yuri plot, not that passionate romantic yuri but there is a co-dependent type of relationship to it, one is becoming the caretaker and the other is healing, then time the other comes to depend on the other too, well not here since shes supernatural lol but we'll see what conflict she'll face in the future. but i really like this subtle platonic relationship.
tbh i really have no idea what to call it lol.

and agreed neji san's works start lovey dovey right off the bat but hopefully this wont end up like Prison Town but it is most likely

the whole premise is that a poor overworked, and depressed office lady is at risk of dying at a young age...

Their being together depends entirely on office lady being at the edge of death from overwork, which would mean that as soon as she escapes her unhealthy way of life, Shinigami will leave.

Neji san is really into Romeo Juliet type tragedy/plot huh.. but their work was really one of the mangas that got me into discovering bittersweet yuri

Well, i like the dynamic. Let's see how the conversion to more yuri will play out, if there'll be any. I'm hopefully optimistic that it won't just be a funny manga with two girls in it. Having a fulfilling love in life can also add to your lifespan, so it could be a convenient setup for some yuriplot. Maybe too convenient. I'm just brainstorming here. Would hope for a more natural progression of feelings towards each other.
