Pretty sure it depends on which kind of info.
If it's going to be infos of newby adventurers that can die or resign pretty fast if they aren't careful or unsure/fluctuating infos in general, you'll just use wood for them.
However, when it comes to important informations, like education, history, monsters, ressources and most importantly magic, you're gonna keep it in books made of paper.
That's how I think of it :depends on the importance of the content.
