FFS why would they just go around boasting about his healing? They should know more than anyone else that having rare skills like that only bring trouble, they should do everything they can do hide he can do it.

@Kaarme - well, this serrated edge does give a benefit - it paralyzes enemies.
For magic to work, the weapon has to be unusual in some way. Which is why I'm fine with outlandish shapes for fantasy weapons.

That kind of knife is no good for fighting. It might be good for cutting food and such as it would still cut even when duller due to the saw edge. However, in a fight it would unnecessarily get stuck in the opponent's gear, tendons, and bones.

If the opponent can't take it out too, then it's a permenant paralysis!
