I don't know about others, but for MMO with lots of inventory space, I like to keep my starter gears. It serves as nostalgia, as equalizer (showing younger siblings game mechanic without one-shotting), & as PK bait.
Because if you PK someone in starter gear & starter zone, you deserve what's follow.
