We've got no idea about frequency of this series since it's only 1 chapter. (preview doesn't count really)
usually for manga it's from longest to shortest: 2 months, 1 month, 2 weeks.. and not sure but iirc there was a weekly ones as well.
This series more likely gonna be either 2 or 1 month, but it's currently unknown. We will see in a month or two, maybe.
So, with how long this first ch was, i assume we wont be seeing another one in less than 2 months right? How frequent are the ch releases?

Very promising beginning.
I bet that upstairs is full of corpses hence the smell, and the Yakisuzakijimas seem to be doing some big demonic sacrifice with the demon hunters to get their power back I reckon...

Guayando!

Anyways I cant lie, that was long... but if im understanding, it seems we got a horror beyond our comprehension on our hands... I wonder if that girl from earlier who was dying had a part in that?

Im also curious where the love is, but we'll see 🔥

What I'd guess is that they get involved in multiple cases like this and get close and then she sacrifices herself instead of the onigirl and we get to this flash forward point. Ensue some epic escape from hell? and then a big damn kiss moment. Wrap season with a beach episode in BD extras. S2 never.

I'm very very interested in where this goes. I guess Amana is a "true" oni of some sort? And Nadeshiko is apparently the descendant of some sort of oni. I'm not really sure what the means in context of this manga, but if they kiss, that's good.

Glad they win a good manga adaptation artist gacha for this one.

so the light novel was mentioned, is there an english version of it out there somewhere i can read?
Gagaga Bunko.
iirc, their title rarely got licensed (although there are some big titles).
But seeing the translation notes and credit pages, assuming the translator read the novel. :D

It’s in Shogakukan's Novelous lineup. (region locked, cursed)
Press release says their lineup are AI translated, but also saw comment saying it’s probably not pure AI.
The last time I found an attempted AI translation of this novel the AI just had a stroke and the whole thing got taken down at some point. Unless they somehow got some never-before-seen tech or hired some really dedicated editors, this is not going to end well.

This series is completely anti-machine. It's written in a very unique fashion even in Japanese, and there's so many deep cut references to ancient shit that wouldn't make any sense to an AI. But still, I won't shame anyone for wanting to skip the wait and find out what happens in the novels, so go ahead if you have the ability and patience to parse AI slop. Maybe the traffic would somehow get a proper publisher to pick it up? I have zero idea how the industry works at this point.

And me? For my money? I strongly feel that this is an insult to life itself.
