One thing I've always really appreciated about this series is how both Shin and Yankumi grow and change as the story progresses. I feel like this was a really pivotal moment in Shin's character development, a rare moment where the perfect guy messed up and there were some real consequences. Some series just have one or the other character fully developed and already perfect, with no room for growth, which I find a bit boring, so I like this style of writing
