There’s no way in any manga/anime/game or anything that would allow him to resurrect someone from so long ago. Her body has long since decomposed and her soul wouldve been broken down and mixed back into the world (if were following that trope) and if were following the path of reincarnation than shed already have come back by now. And if you wanna argue heaven, I doubt after 600 years she’d want to come back anyway. So why is he still trying so hard. It’d make more sense if he had a sister in his second life to do this for.

Because the author had to invent a purpose for the MC. The basic setting has the MC be the highest author in magic in the world, but there also needs to be something he can't do. This is basically his raison d'être. The one thing he can't (yet) do, despite being able to do everything else. It doesn't matter if it's a valid looking goal. It's his obsession. It's just a pity the author hasn't got a clue how to write an obsessed character. For example, an obsessed character doesn't just forget their obsession for years to serve as the witless servant of some random ass noble family out there. But this is the best a second-rate author can pull off.
