Gosam Mussang - Ch. 1

It's one of those martial arts titles with a lot of made-up fantasy martial arts moves and shit, so expect some unwieldy translation of people, things, moves and concepts.

The chapter 1 showed a hint of it, but it is about half action and half comedy, and the most of the comedy is based in the high school they attend. So much so that before I found the hanja (Chinese characters) I thought Gosam meant Third Year in High School.

As for the title, I'm not 100% happy with it. It's a combination of two terms, Gosam means a "high cut" and Mussang means "incomparable" or "invincible" (same as that Invincible Dad manwha) but more "incomparable" than "invincible." Whether it's talking about a person or a move or even something else, we don't know yet. I'm only about 15 or so into the total of 60 or so chapters out so far.

And an interesting trivia I found as i was searching around for a good translation of Gosam... Apparently the term was used as an euphemism for castration in old Korea.

my memory is a bit blurry, but i remember watching an interview with that MMA dude. At the time he was some radio host and he talked against those Chinese martial arts masters (i mean the ones that claim to have supernatural powers). Then one of those Chinese martial arts masters challenged him to a fight and lost quite pathetically. After that he started to get death threats and challenges to fight from random people. Also the government dropped his social credit score to zero. So now he cannot use planes to travel. I dont remember if he lost his job. But yeah. If you show China in a negative light and you live there, then your life gets fucked. All he did was show that the Chinese martial arts is a scam.
