Probably because the crafting mechanic is pretty common now in many different games. Plus, its a different category of publication altogether.
I mean, Minecraft probably has copyright for a Game and Movie, but not against Light Novel, Manga & Anime.

They might have gone for a copyright, if the Isekai world also looked like Minecraft world.

Truthfully, the only similarity this series has with Minecraft is the mining aspect of digging the world block by block.
Crafting part is a mix of many other different series.

Its because it's a parody. You are allowed to parody anything you want, and they can't sue you as long as you don't directly copy everything. (It also depends on the country too)

The only problem would be patents, but unless you are nitendo, you are probably not dumb enough to sue. Also patents can't apply in different mediums obviously, a game mechanic only applies in software, and if i am not mistaken nothing can be patented in literature and art.

Idk about literature, but there has been tries to patent certain chord progressions and short melodies. A duo of musicians, Damien Riehl and Noah Rubin, copyrighted all possible melodies within a single octave and released them to Public Domain to stop the nonsensical lawsuits some big record companies tried to make.

I'd say more like aerospace grade titanium. Exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, outstanding corrosion resistance... all good things but high raw material cost and difficulty in machining. ( much like mythril )

Regardless being able to turn five units of ordinary silver into mythril is insane, especially given we dont need a rockworm for it.
