just gonna watch here as people insult GD scans like they did for savage hero and now that series is abandoned completely by the one they praised and no one is translating it so i cant wait for that to happen here too and i get to be all smug and happy that everyone is miserable.

Regarding delay in Savage Hero, i think it's related to Raw access issue.

Because the common sites which upload raws are behind (they just recently posted Chapter 64 raw). Even NicoNico is slow with free raws for this series (it's on Chapter 60). And some of the previous official free raw releasing sites are currently not working.

While some other sites which have until Chapter 73 uploaded only have them in Chinese translation with big blocks of Watermark on each pages.

Even the raw of Manga Vol.9 (which covers until Chapter 70) that you can find online is heavily watermarked.

Aka., SilasMeanQuite doesn't have any option other than to buy the chapters themselves to work on them, or wait for slower raw releases.

Yeah, there was a big gap after LN Vol.6 was released, but LN Vol.7 had already released with even it's official translation out, and LN Vol.8 is going to release by the end of this month (aka., by end of November 2024).

Less of a rushed, more of author wrought himself into the corner (similar to how Kamitachi ni Hirowareta Otoko needed reboot). MC is too OP. When your hero summons ze Ausmerzer on medieval enemies you know something is wrong.

The problem isn't about MC being too OP.
It's that there were plots which he could have covered, like how did they move to the planet in the sky which never got properly explained. He just time-skipped and ended the plot in the Web Novel (hopefully which he doesn't do in the Light Novel).

Many people guess that he rushed the ending of this series Web Novel because of his other series (aka., "Reborn as a Space Mercenary") which seems to be more popular, and more likely to get a Anime adaptation because of it's more action focused plot and the fact that a similar styled series (aka., I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!) is getting an Anime adaptation.

There is also the fact that, for some reason Monster Girls series aren't that high in focus for Authors, even though demand is high.

you might be correct if silas hadn't announced in their discord server that they were dropping the manga after chapter 69 along with several other manga they were working on. I am not saying silas didnt do great work, and i am not saying GDS isnt scum for holding so many projects hostage, but now no one of any decent readable quality will be working on Savage hero and if trends continue this project will meet the same fate.

Readers tend not to understand the issue that most translators faced when they have too much title to translate, they will sacrifice some of them to keep others running. It doesnt fall to this one, other translators also have some of them did not released by miles away from RAW like Mangasushi back then have their released stalled by 50 chapters (my house is a magic power hotspot) till some translator sniped them and they translate them back slowly but sure and same thing like LHtranslation where they have Isekai Nonbiri Nouka monthly or bi-monthly release to keep them running while treid to catching up with Raws (Raws release by weekly).

The more reader hate them, the more likely translators will dropped them and the sniper will take them as a troll and let it abandoned. Just let them do the job and if there is no information from them why they are dropping it, we can ask them politely for the reason.

see when i say that i get accused of simping for gds or suckign their cock or whatever bullshit. so from now on im just gonna sit back and watch people have karma bite them when series i love stop getting translations, while patiently waiting for the ones with english releases catch up so i can buy them legit and read them.

What GDS does is work on a ton of titles and sometimes it so happens that a title does not get an update for months. Then, someone works on a chapter of said title, from the point GDS supposedly stopped, and, all of a sudden, they upload 4-5 chapters or everything till par.
It could be but, considering how many title they work on, it's improbable that they death march on said title just to catch up and beat the competition. That would mean that they worked on those chapters already and simply didn't post them here.

I don't think they do death march on each chapter they work on when it gets snipped by others (though they probably did it for this chapter).

My guess is that, most of their translation work are done quick and released early, but they are locked behind a paywall.

And they try to hold onto their releases behind paywall as much as possible to get high earnings.

Only after a few months pass would they release a chapter so that they can claim that they are still working on the series, and it would be unethical for others to snip it.
