What sucks about this manga is that the MC never ever takes any action whatsoever unless the FL prompts him to. Like, if she asks him a question, the answer will always be bland and non-committal. If she hints at something, he won't get it and respond in a way that will not affect the status quo of their relationship. She has to go out of her way to explicitly DEMAND that he do something (like go out with her, get her LINE, etc.) and even then he'll often resist for a while before giving in (at which point you can't really tell if he actually wants to or was just pressured into it, especially given how weak-willed he is). Like, we can assume from his internal monologue that he actually wants a relationship, but all his actions speak otherwise, honestly.
