The point is that no one trusts the author anymore. If we look at the Japanese comments on Chapter 129, most readers think the story is over because Sakura character was destroyed (from heroine to villian) unless there’s a heroine swap like in "Guilty Circle" which could allow the series to continue for a long time. That would mean cutting Sakura out of the picture and focusing on Shinobu and a new heroine (likely to be Fumi) while following the original premise but shifting the objective from protecting Sakura to protecting Fumi instead.
As mentioned before, "Gal cleaning", which was a wholesome gyaru story, and went full rape mode out of nowhere.
