I think the pacing went so fast because she doesn't know how the write conflict at all it's a weakness for jp writers I rarely see one who can pull it off with satisfaction.
This would make sense, I will say that Katsura in the non H version of Karami did make some more effort to portray Iida's conflict at home in order to show why she acts the way she does. That was the one part was a bit extra that Katsura could've just glossed over completely but she did introduce Iida's mom and show here to be a domineering control freak with her own vision of how her daughter should be acting just like the MC in some way.

Well his most famous work ended in a sorta ambigous way for the fmc and mc despite all the twists and turns. I sadly think despite them breaking up here they'll end up reuninting somehow. Better or for worse.

As brought up a few times in these threads before, that original Karami Zakari ending from 2020 suddenly became outdated in 2026, just this year Katsura Airi made a new Karami Zakari work that actually further developed the fates of Kousei and Iida; Kousei got a girlfriend and was ready marry her, but there's a class reunion where Kousei meet Iida, Takashi and Niiyama again, they are all surprised about the fact Kousei is about to marry.

Things happen and Iida soon is taken by a former classmate wanting to have sex, Kousei is dragged along, he experiences one final twisted session of his cuckold fantasies with Iida, with her looking at his face all the way sas she does with another guy; Kousei goes on to marry his girlfriend afterwards, Iida suspiciously didn't attend the wedding, prefering to watch a stream instead, liike a mirror of Kousei getting a video call of her doing with other guys.

KaramiZakari you mean? It was a pretty twisted final relationship between FMC and MC where MC visted FMC to get her stores of how she slept around with other men, in the non-H manga its adjusted so that the stories she was sharing were all lies so it's a little lessed messed up for FMC, MC was irredeemable in that one though.

Yes, and Iida in the serial manga version is presented as a slightly better person in terms of showing more clear fondness for Kousei, unlike the original version where her thoughts are often an enigma and she entertaining Kousei at all seemed like a mere sexual curiosity of hers, like she does with all men... Until this new Karami Zakari release in 2026 where it is implicitly shown Iida really wanted to keep that twisted bond she had with Kousei, as she sent yet another cuckold video to Kousei on his wedding day, rather than personally be there at the ceremony.

Although it should be noted that Shinobu here in GraPara! is a far better person than Kousei, Shinobu is just a normal guy wanting to fufill his dreams in the business and fell in love on the way, hence it is more justified to fell bad for him due Sakura's betrayal; Kousei in Zakari was an odd dude that immediately fell to dark cuckold desires and never made the advance to at least try to make iida his girlfriend, his downfall as a guy that seemed he would remain in that twisted hut where he listened to Iida's flings seemed like a plausible conclusion, kinda hard to feel bad for him back in 2020; that's why this new marriage development just now in 2026 is quite surprising.

on the topic of karami zakari, the blond girl also got a happy ending huh
She was a lot less twisted than FMC, it did take a bit for the sequel to release but eventually ya. Now this next part takes some mental gymnastic but Kousei also got his happy ending, its just not a something that we the readers can really see as a happy ending ending but wee see his internal thoughts and don't forget he was the one who suggested the breakup, bro is living the happy single life while getting stores form his highschool crush about sleeping around, (she isn't in the manga).

Well sakura isn't apparently supposed to be understandable according to Katsura Airi and isn't the family situation for Sakura just a fleshed out version of lida's?

Totally agree that Shinobu clears Kousei so it'll be interesting how his story ultimately draws to a conclusion, at very least he right now seems to a have a budding career as a director if he can do this next movie well. Kousei's character flaw also stemmed from it being a solo effort by Katsura Airi in an H manga setting ig.

Sakura's Mom is way more hands off than Iida's Mom was if you ask me lol don't recall if Iida's family had any cheating scandal. Katsura likes to keep Sakura inscrutable most of the time but there are times where we get a glimpse into her internal thoughts if deemed necessary by the author and in this upcoming chapter or two I feel like we're going to get another look, pleasant or unpleasant as it might turn out being.

Is Kashuda Airi's work usually sold off well? Cause I can't imagine how the readers continue to support her works after she pulled this off time after time

Or I put too much faith into Japanese society for being normal and they just have that trash of taste I guess

Well enough above average I believe but not pulling crazy numbers since it is NTR coded. Karamizakari sold around 4.5 million, and GraPara is at maybe 1.5 million copies.

Yup, she'll always have a surplus of haters because of her style and roots as an NTR hentai creator before moving into regular manga. GraPara! was doing good until the latest arc and now its in full on crisis mode but the story isn't finished yet in the way everyones' largely convinced it is imo. Katsura Airi's writing while a lot farther from perfect than some woud like is still a decent writer at a baseline, making adjustments when working on regular manga, so its worth reserving a bit of judgment week to week until the end.

on the topic of karami zakari, the blond girl also got a happy ending huh

After the original 3 volume run in 2020 Niiyama got her own epilogue volume in 2022, showing she was aimless after her sexual escapades with Iida left her a little empty, she enjoyed sex as much as Iida but Niiyama actually wanted a boyfriend.

A new character is suddenly introduced, Souta, Niiyama's childhood friend whom she couldn't imagine would grow up to be that dashing, he is a handsome and popular and confessed to her but Niiyama felt she was too dirty at that point and refused, going for an old crush of hers that just wants casual sex, but said crush didn't think much of Niiyama, he even allowed her to taken by his friends, which Niiyama didn't want to so she was raped.

Souta heard of this and beat up several of the guys who accosted Niiyama, getting suspended from his school volleyball team after that, Niiyama hears of this and her feelings for Souta soared, slapping her crush for being clueless why Souta beat him up (he doesn't think sharing her was rape). Niiyama runs for Souta and now accepts his feelings, the end of this epilogue shows Niiyama married Kouta, and he became a pro volleyball player.

The new 2026 Karami Zakari release further asserts how much of a happy ending Niiyama got, in the class reunion it is mentioned she has a son with Souta, the boy seems to be old enough to be 4 years old or so, confirming they got married and started a family pretty quickly after graduating and have been tight ever since, Niiyama's former classmates all tell Niiyama how lucky she is to have a star volleyball player as her husband.

Niiyama's happy ending doesn't feel all too hamfisted beyond Souta being introduced out of nowhere, but it is good nonetheless as Niiyama got her life back on track and made a conscious choice to be with her charming prince, after making the mistake of rejecting him once, before she was lost for good as an easy lay for guys to have casual sex with like Iida.

Shit, man, I just reread the fuckboi's first confession, and I'm pretty sure now that it's all Sakura's fault. I don't think I can even blame the blonde and the fuckboi anymore (they're still scumbags).

I read every single top comment on pocket all of them are ethire hating on Sakura or pro fumi. The tides have turned. Plus the ntr bros have moved on to fumi all that build up was a waste ntr enjoyers are fickle you would think it being her fetish she would understand that by now.

My only remaining hope then is that fuckboi gets bored of her after all these months and moves onto his next girl, dunno hif fuckboi is a scumbag, but I def hate the blonde.

I mean Katsura Airi never adjusts her story based on comments though. No one knows at this point what she wants to do with the remainder of the story, but nothings a lock yet. I'm just thinking Fumi route is the much lamer cop out to appease the majority and then end the manga then and there. ShinobuXSakura to the end.
