She still has no answer as to why her loved one had no say in the narrative in her head but other people did, especially ones that she knows wants so be with her. Unless there is a understandable explanation to this that isn't handwaved away with "she just has issues" pity is like the last thing she should recieve. Perhaps a "Relationship of Dummies" book or something
Welp, usually romantic drama with two emotionally healthy and mature protagonists would be a bit boring.

"Hey, I saw you kissing her..."
"Oh, I was going to tell you. I'm so sorry, she asked my help to rehearse a scene for her upcoming audition. I shouldn't have done it."
"Oh, ok. Got it. Please don't do it again."
"I also overheard you saying that you didn't want to work with me..."
"I meant that as in, I want to you to be so successful that you won't need my help and then I can also walk my own professional path."
"Oh... I got scared there."
"Come on, you know me."
"I do. What do you want for dinner?"
The End.

I agree with you, but there are lines that shouldn't be crossed, even in dramas. Cheating is one of them. As I’ve said before: she can be redeemed, but she has a LOT of work to do to win the readers back.

Definitely more boring, and so we got what we got. Going to piggyback off this and say Shinobu simply moving on with Fumi would also be boring. Would rather see his lingering feelings for Sakura drive him in this movie project and have a payoff in the eventual confrontation between the two after months of silence.

Nah that wouldnt be boring at all. What would be boring is when we see slutkura completely unfased of the things happened, she still with fuckboi and she doesnt care about shinobu. That would be in fact boring and lazy writing.

All of the things I am vehemently against, we're in agreement there! Fingers are crossed author doesn't drop the ball anymore than they have.

Yo be fair with Sakura she has trauma she doesn't make friends easily and she attachments herself to anyone who shows her any kind of kindness doesn't excuse what she did nor how she has been written as a character but the warning signs were there that she would do something like this. The only way the author can get her back with shinobu is if she grows as a character first but we know that's not happening.

I don't agree, like I'm pretty sure you could write up some good romantic drama between two characters and have them come of like actual people. The problem is that a lot of romcoms tend to want to go head first into issues with straightforward fixes and then think they can draw it out and make it more complex with finesse, but like 95% of the time it just comes off as stupid and poorly executed.

And even disregarding all this, I don't think the issue with this fmc stems from being emotional unhealthy or immature, like sure the emotional side may be part of it, but the way this communication problem was written goes well past any of that.

Not necessarily. A redemption arc can be amazing if done well.

The problem is I don't believe Katsura Airi can and wants to do it well. She always has to crush some of the MC's dignity.
Nah go look at the majority of comments on X and on Magapoke (wish you could see the deletd ones too). Most people want Sakura out. The heavy majority are get her out of her she doesn't deserve Shinobu. This forum seems to be the only real place where people seem to want to see them back together, I think that's what's driving so many comments in this forum. People defending Sakura and other people dropping in going wtf no way.

Well whether they like it or not, I just can't see her going away just like that. If they do, Airi did a brutal murder of a character for no reason other than shock value and that's just not right.
